Both studies were conducted in Connecticut and used commercially available (at the time) repellent formulations. Generally\, products that smelled fragrant and pleasant to the applicator did not perform as well as the more unpleasant scented formulations. Also\, repellents that were recommended to be applied with greater frequency performed better than those with longer durations between applications. This session will cover the basics of biocontrol with beneficial insects and mites. You will also learn about the biocontrol programs that Prides Corner Farms uses to reduce chemical inputs and manage target pests on crops such as Asclepias and herbs.
