This session focuses on essential planting techniques that ensure long-term plant health and landscape success. Through practical instruction and live demonstrations\, attendees will learn how to avoid common planting errors such as incorrect planting depth\, buried root flares\, circling roots\, improper mulching\, and watering challenges. \nParticipants will acquire research-based\, actionable skills for properly installing container-grown and balled-and-burlapped plants. These methods will help improve plant establishment\, reduce losses\, and enhance overall landscape performance. This program also offers valuable continuing education credits for Connecticut Certified Horticulturists and green industry professionals in nursery\, landscape\, and arboriculture fields. \nAbout Devin Savoy: \nDevin Savoy brings over a decade of diverse horticultural experience\, including landscape installation and maintenance\, nursery management\, and arboriculture. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Plant Sciences from Cornell University and holds credentials as a licensed Connecticut Arborist\, ISA Certified Arborist with TRAQ\, and Connecticut Certified Horticulturist since 2012.
