Known for our top-quality plants, customer service and incredible work, we’re expanding our team. We are seeking a dedicated Masonry Team Lead to oversee our masonry projects and crew.

 

Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Generate and follow up on residential and/or commercial masonry leads.
  • Meet clients on-site to asses project scope and needs.
  • Prepare estimates and proposals for, but not limited to, masonry projects (stone, brick, block, concrete, patios, walls, outdoor kitchens, pool decking, repairs, etc.)
  • Present proposals, negotiate pricing & close sales.
  • Coordinate with in-house or external designers, architects, builders & field crews to ensure smooth, efficient projects.
  • Work on site with our mason team to complete these projects.
  • Manage inventory and equipment needed for installations.
  • Build long-term relationships with homeowners, builders, architects and property managers.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in masonry or construction teams.
  • Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and safety protocols.
  • At least 3-5 years prior masonry experience, 2 years leading a crew.
  • Prior sales and customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with project planning and inventory management.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish

Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $80,000-100,000 per year plus commissions.

Landscape Construction Foreman

The Department of Entomology at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station is recruiting for a full-time Nursery Inspector in a regulatory, non-research position. The position provides inspection, monitoring, and reporting services to licensed nurseries, green industry operations, and the public within the State of Connecticut.

This is a permanent, full-time position (35 work hours per week) in the classified service of the State of Connecticut. The starting annual salary is $53,277, subject to state payroll rules and collective bargaining agreements. The position includes state-administered medical, dental, retirement, leave, and holiday benefits. Job offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, including motor vehicle check, per GL 115.

The Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture, a part of the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources, within the University of Connecticut, Storrs Campus, seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Plant Science Research and Education Facility Turfgrass Research Technician (Laboratory Technician 1). Supervised by the Plant Science Research and Education Facility Manager and the Department Head, this position provides technical assistance to faculty and researchers in establishing and maintaining turfgrass for research, teaching, and outreach. Duties also include maintenance and repair of equipment associated with field and greenhouse projects as well as pesticide applications. The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,344 to $55,500, commiserated based on qualifications and experience. Evaluation of applications will begin immediately, and the position will remain open until filled. Preference will be given to applications received by February 6, 2026.
