Ali’s Nursery and Landscaping is located in Plantsville, CT and is seeking an experienced and team oriented individual to join our Landscape Construction Crew for a full time position this Spring 2018 season with opportunity for winter work. Landscape Construction workers will be responsible for completing hardscape installations, completing project tasks in an efficient timely manner, and reporting to the Landscape Manager. Direct activities on job site include but not limited to:

  • Hardscaping
  • Landscaping
  • Masonry
  • Safely and proficiently use hand tools
  • Operate heavy machinery, driving truck + trailer combo
  • Work well with others as a team player
  • Communication skills: Be able to communicate well with crew members, clients, and supervisor

Landscape Crew Members will be responsible for safely and efficiently producing quality landscape service that meets or exceeds the standards of clients and management. Landscape Crew Members will also need to be able to work independently or with a team on a variety of service and installation tasks. Direct activities on job site include but not limited to: Mulching, Weeding, Edging, Pruning, Planting + Installing Landscape Designs.

Associates will be involved in all aspects of our daily duties which include: Selling and loading customer vehicles with plants, mulch, soil and fertilizer, unloading plant truck deliveries, tagging and displaying plants, watering and tending plants, ringing a computerized cash register and basically anything else needed during the course of the day to help Natureworks succeed.

The ability to lift and carry 50lb bags of soils and fertilizers is required.

We are looking for applicants who are reliable, highly self-motivated, and hard working. The applicant will work under the direction of an experienced garden supervisor. This is a full time position. Must be able to work long hours during the busy season. Including Saturdays when necessary. Compensation depends on experience. Must be fluent in English.  The ability to speak and understand Spanish is a plus.
